Leiden University and TU Delft run joint Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes and Master’s tracks.
Leiden-Delft | Bachelor's programmes
Life Science & Technology [link to Dutch]
In order to understand, interpret and apply the processes in a living cell, both fundamental and applied knowledge of different disciplines is essential. This is why our teaching programme is built on the study of chemistry, biology, cell biology, physics, mathematics, informatics, bio-informatics and pharmacology.
Molecular Science & Technology [link to Dutch]
Molecular Science & Technology is a unique chemistry programme that not only brings you into contact with the fundamental, industrial and societal facets of chemistry but also enables you to explore the field of chemistry that you enjoy most!
(Applied) Mathematics
You can take this programme at either Delft or Leiden. For more information see:

Leiden-Delft | Master's programmes
Bioinformatics [track]
Bioinformatics integrates concepts and methodology from mathematics and computer science with molecular biology and biochemistry. This new track focuses on Data Analysis and Modelling.
- At Leiden Bioinformatics is a track in the MSc programme in Computer Science.
- At Delft Bioinformatics is a track in the MSc programme in Media & Knowledge Engineering.
Chemistry and Life Sciences [range of programmes]
Leiden University and Delft University of Technology have joined forces to offer the widest conceivable range of research programmes in life sciences, chemistry and technology complete with multidisciplinary teaching and research opportunities.
Industrial Ecology [track]
Industrial Ecology is regarded as the ‘toolbox for sustainable development’. It is a relatively young scientific discipline that integrates technological, environmental and social factors in a systemic approach to sustainability issues. This study programme is unique in the Netherlands and one of only a few in Europe.
NanoScience
As of September 2010 the MSc in Nanoscience will no longer be open for new applicants. At TU Delft Nanoscience will still be offered as a track within the Applied Physics MSc programme.
